What is ABOTA?
ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Civility and the protection of an independent judiciary are among ABOTA’s most important goals. ABOTA works hard to make sure that all lawyers are on the same side when it comes to professionalism, civility, protecting the independence of the judiciary, and making sure the promise of the Seventh Amendment is protected. ABOTA works to uphold the jury system by educating the American public about the history and value of the right to trial by jury.
