Michael E. Pérez, managing partner at Warshauer Law Group, knew early in his legal career that he wanted to represent those who were seriously injured due to the negligence and recklessness of others. As a result, he’s represented plaintiffs in catastrophic injury cases since becoming a licensed attorney. “Fighting for my clients’ rights is something I care deeply about, and it is my honor to represent those who feel that they are powerless against insurance companies, healthcare providers and big corporations.”

Michael’s practice is focused on medical malpractice, birth injury and wrongful death cases. His advocacy for his clients is well-known and he has been named a Rising Star and Georgia Super Lawyer for 4 consecutive years, holds an AV Preeminent rating, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards, and is a Board Certified Civil Practice Advocate. Only about 3% of American lawyers are board certified, making Michael a member of a very select group.

Personal Life

Michael was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia after his parents and sisters emigrated from Cuba in 1970. He has lived in Georgia for his entire life. This gives him a unique perspective and is a source of motivation for him. “My family came to the United States to flee a political system that limited their rights and opportunities. It is one of the reasons I am so grateful we live in a country governed by the rule of law and that provides the right to a trial by jury.”
As an active volunteer, Michael gives back to the community and the legal profession through volunteering at several organizations. Presently, he serves on the State Bar of Georgia’s Committee on Professionalism. He is also a Board Member of the DeKalb Bar Association. Previously, he served as a Board Member of the Brighter DeKalb Foundation.
Michael is married to April Bryant Pérez and is the proud father of Isabella, Jack and Bryant, and the reluctant co-owner of Max the Beagle. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and rooting for his Georgia Bulldogs.
