Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia, or HIT – Warshauer Woodward Atkins Presentation
Over the weekend, while attending the AAJ’s (American Association for Justice) annual summer convention in Montreal, Warshauer Woodward Atkins partner Frank Ilardi gave a broad presentation regarding Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia, or HIT,for short. Ilardi is nationally known for his particular knowledge and expertise in cases involving blood clots and the adverse effects of Heparin.
Medical malpractice lawyers aren’t the only people devoting their time to understanding and studying HIT, of course; doctors are interested too. This week, The New England Journal of Medicine published an extensive article in their Clinical Practice Section entitled “Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia.” The NEJM article can be accessed here: http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMcp1411910?query=TOC
