Warshauer Woodward Atkins Gathers Support for Second Helpings Atlanta

Dec 4, 2018

On Sunday, September 30, 2018, attorneys at the Warshauer Woodward Atkins and other community partners gathered to raise $49,000 for Second Helpings Atlanta (SHA), a local non-profit that fights food waste and insecurity. The inaugural SHA River Feast was held at the home of Lyle and Michael Warshauer, Senior Partners at Warshauer Woodward Atkins. Lyle is a Board Member of SHA. More than 70 guests attended the catered dinner, where they made contributions, socialized, and enjoyed live music.

Donations are just one way SHA helps combat food insecurity. The organization also gathers surplus or unmarketable food from grocery stores, dining halls, farmers markets, and schools and converts them to food donations. SHA then distributes the food to various Atlanta food banks and agencies with the help of its volunteer drivers.

Warshauer Woodward Atkins served as a primary sponsor for the fundraising event and is committed to giving back to the Atlanta community in any way possible. As compassionate personal injury lawyers, SHA is another way for the firm to help those in need.

Warshauer Woodward Atkins is happy to work with organizations in the community. If you would like to partner with our firm in bringing positive change to the Atlanta metropolitan area, please contact us here.
