Warshauer’s Own Jasper Abbott Gives Two Riveting Presentations at The American Association for Justice Convention in Las Vegas

Jul 22, 2021

Our firm had the esteemed pleasure of being represented by one of our very own, Jasper Abbott, at this year’s American Association for Justice Convention, held at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.  The AAJ 2021 Annual Convention is where accomplished trial lawyers come together to discuss the latest developments in trial advocacy and specialized topics. As co-chair of The Pressure Cookers Litigation Group, Jasper gave not one, but two presentations in the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) sector of the convention.

The first presentation discussed, “How to Survive Summary Judgement in Product Liability Cases,” in which Jasper educated his peers on how to use affirmative Daubert motions on their own experts. In layman’s terms, this is a type of motion that seeks to admit the presentation of our expert’s testimony to a jury. The Products Liability Section concentrates on all consumer products, including automobiles, toys, and electronics.

The second presentation shifted gears to the Railroad Law Section of the CLE program.  This section covers employee injuries and occupational illnesses, derailments, collisions, and crossing accidents. As Secretary of the Railroad Law Section, Jasper presented on “FELA (Federal Employers’ Liability Act) Claims for Railroad Contractors.” During his presentation, Mr. Abbott discussed how to establish railroad contractors as actual railroad employees.  We are very proud of you Jasper!
